Polyisobutene

Polyisobutene

  Product namePolyisobutene
  Other Name:Pb1400
  Chemical name :    Polyisobutene
Category :   Antioxidant and UV absorber
  Characteristics and Application :
Polybutene is a synthetic liquid polymer produced in various grades by a low temperature polymerization process from raw material containing olefins, particulary isobutylene. All grades are water white and have little or no order. Daelim Polybutene is chemically stable and resists oxidation by light and moderate heat. It is hydrophobic and impermeable to water vapor or gas. It has various viscosity, higher flash point, narrow molecular weight distribution and negligible sulfur content.
Security and does not sensitized.good compatibility,Excellent oxidation resistance, anti-UV performance.Have good thickening and increased viscosity and plastic.Recommendation applies to lipstick, lip gloss, lipstick, lip oil, powdery bottom, powder, Adjustable rubber film ,eyelash creams, etc.
  Uses :
·Dispersing Agents : Dispersing agent for pigments.
  ·Food Additive
  ·Lubricants
  Physical Properties:
·COLOR : generally colorless, reading no higher than 50 on the APHA color scale. The product remains very stable after prolonged exposure to ultraviolet or low temperatures. Daelim Polybutene is more stable than mineral oil with APHA color similar to polybutene
·Flash point : The flash point of Daelim Polybutene, which is measured with a Cleveland open cup tester, varies according to the ratio of low molecular weight.(Upon client request, the flash point can also be measured with a Pensky Martenes closed cup tester.)
·Pour point : Pour point is the point of initial flow rate as liquid phase. The pour point rises as the average molecular weight increases.
·on heating : Loss on heating is weight loss after five hours in an air bath of 98?oC. The amount of loss decrease as the average molecular weight increase.
·Viscosity: Viscosity of Daelim Polybutene measured with a Cannon-Fenske capillary viscometer, the kinematic viscosity of Daelim Polybutene between 10 and 5,000cSt at 100oC. Increasing the average molecular weight will increase the kinematic viscosity.
·Molecular weight : The number average molecular weight(Mn) of Daelim Polybutene ranges between 250 and 2,500.
  Chemical Properties:
·Reactivity : Daelim Polybutene is highly saturated, so chemical stability is much better than that of unsaturated mineral oil. In addition, the acid value is a yardstick indicating the concentration of free fatty acid in the oil; it shows the degree of modification from ultraviolet rays, heat or oxygen. Daelim Polybutene has a very low acid value, and the low value will be maintained even when the product is stored for an extended period. However, decomposition will occur under very high temperature.
·Solubilty and compatibility : Daelim Polybutene is a non-polar hydrocarbon polymer, so it has poor solubility in polar solvents such as alcohol or acetone. The product is not recommended for use with polar polymers such as PVC or phenol resin.
